Troop Meetings
Hudson, Ohio BSA Troop 777
BSA 777 Troop Meetings
During the Hudson calendar school year, the Troop meets each Monday night from 7:00-8:30 PM. Troop Meetings are held at First Congregational Church, our charter organization, during the Winter months and at Hudson Springs Park in the Fall and Spring.
Troop Meetings typically consist of a game or activity, opportunities to work on advancement, and planning for upcoming campouts and excursions.
We work on scout skills at every meeting. For example, the older scouts might teach the younger scouts about how to build a fire and provide instruction regarding fire safety. This session might be followed by a visit from members of the fire department to help reinforce the concepts of the meeting and to interact with the scouts. Every meeting is fun and is made possible by the senior scouts that lead the meetings (instead of the adult leaders). This troop is a real scouting experience for all scouts because of:
- our strong (and exciting) outdoor program,
- our commitment to boy-led leadership,
- our belief that scouting should provide lifelong skills and be a serious value for the scout,
- our scout family that supports our troop family,
- and excellent support from adult leaders and parents.
Scouts and families interested in learning more about BSA Troop 777 are encouraged to attend a Troop meeting. If you are planning to attend a Troop Meeting please contact us to confirm the time and location.
